Are you in a BLUE Mood? Watch SNL with Miley Cyrus.

I didn't have enough time to do a video with this look because I got slammed with 8 appointments in one hour but I did manage to get some photos of this beautiful look! I love it, and I love how it makes the Brown eyes have more copper in them. Look at my post Lets Learn Color Theory ABC's at: http://morningmakeupcall.blogspot.com/2010/10/lets-learn-color-theory-abcs.html
This look can be yours... All you have to do is switch a few of the colors and follow the link on the top right side called: Green Dramatic eye or click here: http://morningmakeupcall.blogspot.com/2011/02/beauty-of-week-jenny-how-to-do-green.html

Use the same Black Lapis Khol pencil as a base on the lid and on the inside of the eye as well! Set the inside of the eye (water line) with the shadow, The New Black. The new lid color is a brand new single shadow called All Done Up, The crease is Madison Avenue, and the brow highlight is Pink Pearls! All brand new shades and amazing! I brushes 17 and 18 like I always do and also Hypnose Drama Mascara! You can get the same look with our new 5 pan palette in Midnight Rush (see Below middle right) if you want this look in a all in one compact!

Also brand new in store and almost sold out everywhere are the new 5 pan eye shadow palettes by Lancome. Only 48 bucks and it even has your liner shade built in at the bottom! I'm planning on doing more videos with these but you can already watch my video on the taupe crave palette on Nancy at: http://morningmakeupcall.blogspot.com/2011/03/nancy-how-to-do-taupe-and-brown-soft.html

Also on my way to work I was talking with good friend and MakeUp artist Denika, She just got back from NY from SNL with Miley! She travels with Miley Cyrus and has been doing her makeup for a while now! SO TALENTED!!!

For the photo shoots Denika layered my favorite Hypnose Drama Mascara that I gave her! Looks Beautiful Denika!

Also for the Disney Nickelodeon skit Denika used the Pink Envy 5 pan palette above and said it turned out so Beautiful!
Miley you were so amazing on SNL! I laughed harder than that time I smoked Salvia!!! lol

EMMA ROBERTS... My Beautiful Canvas

EMMA ROBERTS...talented and beautiful, and I met on her Super Sweet 16th birthday! Emma shares her birthday with the #1 Luxury brand mascara... Lancome's Definicils. When my PR team planned a sweet 16 party at the Social Night Club in Hollywood I was glad to attend and also get Emma all glamoured up for her party... however I felt extremely old at this point to be hanging and dancing with a whole lot of 15 and 16 year olds! I had a blast!

No foundation was needed. It's hard for me to put any foundation on a 16 year old, especially
one that takes good care of her skin and doesn't use her pillow at night as a makeup remover. Emma told me that her aunt Julia Roberts was someone she admired when it came to Beauty. Julia has been known for her use of tinted moisturizers and now the new Teint Miracle by Lancome. Over at Emma's house before the party I had a lot of fun talking about makeup, skincare, and some of my stories as I applied a tinted moisturizer and Dual Finish powder! I softly sculpted her eyes and cheeks using mostly bronzer and a little blush, even on the eyes, and then used dark brown eye liner and set it with a brown shadow for an all night dance proof wear! Mascara? Ha ha ...what else is there? Definicils in Black of coarse!

Emma ready for her close up and for the night to begin... someone kissed her cheek right before this which I quickly fixed! It wasn't me... thats not my shade of pink!
The list of friends that came to celebrate was amazing. I needed my niece Lexie there to tell me who everyone was... The cast of Nancy Drew was there and a lot of Disney and Nickelodeon kids! One that I had heard of, and had fun doing touch ups with were sisters and singers AJ and Aly. I don't think Aly had any more room in her bag for more lip gloss! I made sure she got one in every flavor and color.

One of the best parts of the night was the photo booth! I know that the shot below looks like I pushed Emma out after the 2nd photo but the truth was she fell out... and that's what I'm sticking too! Emma, you are beautiful, fun, and amazing on camera! Thanks for sharing this day with me! Love you!
Shortly after the event BEAUTY FASHION did this great write up on the event. I was greatful to be their "Makeup Artist of the Month"!

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2007

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2007 was one of my favorite events to be at. Here I was back where I grew up and worked for 5 years. I felt at home but this time as a MakeUp Artist and without my snowboard! Lancome teamed up with Jane Magazine and rented out a huge cabin in Deer Valley, UT to do a photoshoot spread with Celebs Confessing their shamful secrets and nasty habits! BUSTED!!! Mine above was obviously Lancome!

Total I got to do makeup on some of my favorite actors! Ellen Page was the first one in my chair.... LOVE Juno, and it was like I was in the movie while talking and working with her, Kristen Bell, John Hensley, Ryan Reynolds needed my help to make him cry for his photo, Scott Speedman, Zoe Cassavetes and even James Franco! The Boys didn't need much. The Photographer Kenneth Cappello was great to work with and so was fellow Makeup Artists Ross Burton and Natalie Nelson. I also got one of my, best friend/ex girlfriend, Jax Lloyd there to do Hair!

It was amazing to listen to Mandy Moore sing during sound check that day and to talk with her. Amazing and sweet she is and her concert that night was Awesome! Thanks Mandy for being a part of it!
Will Always Love Sundance and even more now!

ZOE CASAVETES... My Beautiful Canvas

ZOE CASSAVETES is an American Film Director, Screenwriter, and Actress best known for her 2007 film, Broken English, featured up at Sundance 2007.

I was able to give her a strong wine berry bold lip while keeping her complexion flawless and her eyes easy! This was perfect for the most amazing smile of hers!
LOVE YOUR RED WINE MOUTH ZOE! Thanks for letting me paint your face.

JOHN HENSLEY... My Handsome Canvas

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2007
JOHN HENSLEY best known for his amazing role as Matt McNamara on Nip/Tuck, one of my favorite shows, was up in Sundance for a movie called, "Teeth." I remember cringing when I saw it with Jill Wagner, and thought it was amazing and gross!

Just a little powder and concealer on John was all he needed for his interviews and photo shoots. I remember out of all the people that came through the Jane house in Sundance that day... He was probably the most thankful. He even came back down before leaving and said he wanted to say thank you one last time.
So glad to get to meet you John!

KRISTEN BELL... My Beautiful Canvas

ROAD RAGE!!!!

I met Kristen Bell, who I couldn't love more, in January 2007. She came into the Jane house up in Park City, Utah for the Sundance Film Festival. I was there with Lancome and Jane Magazine to do a magazine spread called "BUSTED" Asking Celebirites, "What's your crime?"

What was Kristen's crime? Road Rage & Bad Driving!!! You couldn't tell by how sweet and uplifting she was in my chair... I was a little scared to find out at the airport as her and her boyfriend and I waited for our flight home together, that she in fact was my neighbor... on my streets... in my neighborhood... so with that confession... I moved! HA HA!!

Kristen's MakeUp was so damn easy... she is so beautiful. The eyes I kept really soft in similar technique as in my Beauty of the Week Nancy post... minus the eye liner. Her skin was so soft and smooth and required very little to make it look flawless! Her tone was even soft and perfect! I glammed her up with a strong signature "Plastic Cheek" of mine and gave her lots of moisture that was needed in the dry Utah Mountains... where I grew up!

LOVE IT... and laughed so hard when I saw shortly after Sundance, Forgetting Sarah Marshall! Kristen I knew your personality rocked but I had no idea you were THAT funny... and that flexible!!!

LOVE YOU KRISTEN BELL!

Nancy... How to do a Taupe and Brown Soft Sculpted Eye with a Pop!

Everyone Meet Nancy! My Beauty of the Week. I met Nancy in Cerritos, CA at Macy's when she came in for an appointment looking for Natural Looking MakeUp! My assistant and Elite Artist Jenise helped Nancy with skin care and complexion and then we together decided the best thing to do for her beautiful eyes!

We wanted to keep it in the natural vibe that Nancy asked for but still make the eyes pop with the right eye liner and mascara. Lancome has new 5 pan eye shadow palettes which are the easiest to use when you don't know what to do anymore in the morning! The instructions come with... and for fun you can mix up the colors to create and recreate your look whenever you get bored!

Here is Nancy below with one eye done!

Products You will need to achieve the look:

Eye Shadows: 5 pan palette in Taupe Crave (Top Seller)
Liners: Blanc and Black Coffee Khol Pencils
Mascara: Hypnose Drama in Excessive Black
Brushes: # 18 dual end for lid and liner, # 17 blending for Highlight and Crease

Here is a look below of the products and also which brush goes with what shadow! I had to get fancy for Nancy cause she's Fancy huh!

Both eyes Rockin! The eye lids glow with this technique.

Nancy and the gift with purchase.. ha ha ha ... Darais. Thanks Nancy... you are so much fun! See you again soon!

ANTM Cycle 7... Celebrity Couples!

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL continued to be a creative outlet for me to paint and create. On an episode with photographer Matthew Jordan Smith I was able to have some fun! The episode was to capture the girls as a celebrity couple! Same girl... two people! It was crazy fun trying to get somewhat of a resemblance of the celebrities we were trying to capture!

Jaeda was my first girl and I got to do both of her transformations. I first painted her into Bobby Brown and then into Whitney Houston! LOVED IT!!! I was her bodyguard!

Next was the beautiful Anchal who I got to create into Oprah Winfrey... Call me O!!! (but only when Ross is on vacation) lol
Another one of my favorites was Michelle. I loved turning her into Ellen Degeneres!

BEAUTY FASHION SEPT 2006

I first met Mary Elizabeth Cronin up in Seattle, Washington. We had an instant bond and her kind words with every interview she wrote would make my whole week! I value someone who can see me for who I am and what I stand for and then write it. I feel I am so complicated within but I always tell people that there is a method to my madness! Thanks Mary for recognizing my attributes as a Artist and Perfectionist!

September 2006 was my first appearance in BEAUTY FASHION

THANK YOU MARY and BEAUTY FASHION MAGAZINE

ANTM Cycle 7... Freakshow Circus... My Favorite Episode to work on!

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL I think is every makeup artists dream to work on. Mostly because every day is extremely creative and so different. Whenever I would work on the show I wouldn't know what to expect and always would come home loving what I do even more!

Cycle 7 Freak Show Circus was my very favorite episode I got to work. Sutan was the key makeup artist and I learn from him every time I'm with him. Jay Manuel gives amazing advice and knowledge especially when it comes to makeup and I am so glad you like my contoured abs... on Jaeda that is... ha ha. I still love that night at elimination when judge Twiggy couldn't believe how strong she was and wanted to vote her off the island for being too strong!

I did face and body makeup on Jaeda up above as the Strong Woman. Also for Amanda and Michelle, the Siamese Twins, I did one of the girls... couldn't tell them apart then but now I can. MakeUp artist Burke Daniel did the other one!
But to start the shoot off I did A.J. first, face and body... My cannibal, and even got to ruff up her man meat with Sutan.
Tyra, thank you so much for having this show.... not only for beautiful models but for us MakeUp Artists as well... LOVE YOU!

Mike Rosenthal you are an amazing photographer to work for... Hope to again soon!
